See a DISC Report
Before You Choose
Every Disctest assessment includes two complementary reports: a Visual Report for a clear overview and an Extended Report for deeper interpretation and practical application. Explore the Investigator examples below; both examples have 17 pages.
About these examples
These complete Investigator reports illustrate one DISC profile; they are not an assessment of the visitor viewing this page and should not be read as the results of the visitor viewing this page. Charts and reference values illustrate the supplied profile configuration.
The visual document carries Disctest branding. The extended document carries LiderDISC branding: Disctest is the U.S. brand of LiderDISC, the behavioral assessment platform that develops these reports. Both files are provided in their original form.
Visual or Extended: What Is the Difference?
| Visual report | Extended report | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 17 pages | 17 pages |
| Presentation | Color-coded charts and concise panels. | Detailed interpretation, examples and practical questions. |
| Profile | Investigator: high S, moderate D and C. | The same profile, with Self-perception and Natural/Adapted reference readings. |
| Development | Areas for improvement and suggested actions. | Development discussion, a plan with progress indicators and a closing summary. |
| Additional analysis | Overview of the profile and its applications. | Adaptive Tension Index, explicitly defined as graphical distance. |
Inside the Visual DISC Report
Begin with the DISC introduction and visual explanation of the four dimensions. Continue to the Investigator profile graph and identity sheet, followed by concise sections on work preferences, communication, conflict, leadership and sales conversations.
The final pages focus on professional contribution, development opportunities and example roles to explore. The color-coded presentation makes it easy to return to a topic during a feedback conversation.
Read the visual Investigator sampleInside the Extended DISC Report
The extended version explains the interpretation in more detail. Its main profile reading is Self-perception. Natural and Adapted are presented as reference configurations, with questions for checking the interpretation against work experience.
- Pages 2–3: interpretation framework and Self-perception.
- Pages 4–7: Natural/Adapted reference comparison and Adaptive Tension Index.
- Pages 8–13: behavior, work preferences, communication, conflict, leadership and sales.
- Pages 14–15: development opportunities and a practical development plan.
- Pages 16–17: roles to explore, summary and scope of the report.
A Practical Example: Moving from Analysis to Action
The Investigator interpretation highlights a sustained work pace and attention to information, alongside an orientation towards defined goals. One development topic is deciding which checks are essential before acting and which can follow later.
A useful discussion starts with a real task: What decision was needed? What information was essential? Who had responsibility? When was the conclusion communicated? These questions connect the profile with observable actions rather than assuming that the profile proves a particular competence.
How to Read the Graphs
The four dimensions describe relative behavioral tendencies. A lower value for Influence does not mean a lack of communication skills. The extended report’s midline is a reading guide, not an ability threshold.
The Adaptive Tension Index in this example is 3 out of 24 segment steps. It describes the distance between the Natural and Adapted reference graphs. It does not measure stress or quantify adaptation effort.
Using a DISC Report at Work
Use the examples to prepare conversations about collaboration, delegation, feedback and professional development. In recruitment, combine the discussion with role requirements, experience and other relevant evidence. The report should not be the sole basis for an employment decision.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these complete reports?
Yes. Both linked files are complete 17-page Investigator examples, shown without editing.
Does every person receive the Investigator profile?
No. These examples illustrate one profile. They are not a substitute for completing an individual assessment.
Is the extended report longer?
It contains more detailed prose and additional analysis, but both supplied examples have 17 pages. “Extended” describes the treatment of the material, not a larger page count in these files.
How do the reports help with interviews and development?
Use the visual overview to identify discussion topics, then use the extended interpretation and practical questions to explore real work examples. Build the conversation around role requirements, communication, collaboration, and a concrete development agreement.
